I’d read comments saying the cabins felt a bit dated, but we found ours roomy and comfortable, with the best views. The staff are really helpful, and the Kookaburra Lounge is a treasure trove. We’ll definitely return.

I stay here whenever I have events around Hartley, and Carol always goes out of her way to make sure I’m comfortable. It’s always winter when I visit, but the rooms are warm, with two heating systems and an electric blanket. My dog is happy staying inside and behaves well. When several dogs are there, everyone cleans up after them. The place is very clean, and the Kookaburra Room gives you space to entertain friends instead of squeezing into a room. Cedar Cabins is up at the top of the mountains, handy for both Lithgow and Katoomba. Very central. Highly recommend.

There’s a neat common room for guests to share, and the view is amazing. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the place has a peaceful, quaint feel. A lovely little Blue Mountains stay. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re down this way.

Some might find the rooms a little tired, but with that location, those views, and the price, I thought it was worth it. Amazing spot.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were great, and the facilities made it easy to eat in and cook for ourselves. We’d definitely recommend the place and stay here again 😀
