Direct Collective - Breeze on Brightwater

The pool was a hit with our children, and the location was good, but the apartment was shockingly dirty. We normally take our shoes off indoors because of our culture, but there was no way we wanted to do that here. I was especially relieved our youngest wasn’t crawling yet, since I wouldn’t have put her on those floors. We got there just before reception closed on Friday, so we couldn’t raise it with anyone until Saturday morning. I said the place was disgusting and that the floors at least needed vacuuming and mopping. They did that while we were out for the day, but the whole apartment needs a proper professional clean from floor to ceiling. Such a letdown. I’ve never stayed somewhere this dirty.

Parking was a mess. I often had to leave the car away from the townhouse, and one night a party meant all the visitor spots were taken, so I had to park outside the compound. A resident of the gated community also accused me of hitting another car. On top of that, I’d booked a townhouse expecting access to the whole place, only to find my access was restricted. The furniture felt cheap for what they charge, and the townhouse seemed to have a cockroach infestation. It’s overpriced and poorly maintained.

The apartment was really clean, and both the residents and the location were lovely. We loved staying here and would definitely come back 😀

The beds and pillows made for a terrible night. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the pillows were too high. My husband, our eldest child and I couldn’t wait to leave the next morning. The apartment had plenty of other problems too: the oven didn’t work, the dishwasher had dents, there was no soap in one bathroom, and all four dining chairs had their seats removed, so I nearly fell when I tried to sit down. The carpet had stains all over it, and the cleaners’ keys were still in the door when we arrived. I thought someone might still be inside and was too scared to enter at first. We weren’t given the WiFi details, and although there were little coffee packets, there was no sugar. Check-in felt dry and unwelcoming, and checkout wasn’t pleasant either. Nobody asked how the stay was. The staff seemed like they didn’t want to be at work. I was unhappy with the whole process and won’t be back.
