Dinner was a real highlight: Chef Dai cooked a thoughtful five-course degustation right in front of us, and every dish was beautifully balanced. Steffi also gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had, then I cooled off in the magnesium pool. The team were attentive and friendly from the start, showing us around and making sure everything was sorted. We spent two wonderfully relaxing nights in the pavilions, with birds moving through the forest and sweeping views over the Byron Bay region and coastline. Even arriving at the gate, with waterfalls in the distance, felt special. Blackbird Byron was a stunning escape, and we’d love to return.

The fire, the views, the food, and a chilled Shiraz made for a lovely evening. Julieta and Sebastian brought us a divine dinner platter in a gorgeous setting, and breakfast was wonderful too. Julieta was warm, professional, welcoming, and discreet throughout. She even texted that morning to coordinate our arrival and check-in. My one small suggestion would be a slightly more generous breakfast portion, though honestly, it was hard not to relax and enjoy this tranquil haven.

James and the team helped make my proposal to my fiancée at Blackbird this weekend really memorable. The peaceful Mullum hinterland setting is lovely, and the accommodation has an impressive location with next-level attention to detail. I’d recommend it to anyone after a quiet stay.

Lucas made lovely breakfasts and was great company. The sunrises were breathtaking, and Blackbird gave us a chance to slow down and enjoy life. From the moment we came through the gate, the view took our breath away. Our Pavilion was just right for settling in and taking in the sights and sounds of nature. x🐦⬛

Lucas’s thoughtful breakfasts and warm hospitality were a lovely way to start each day. The view is spectacular, especially in the morning, and stretches from the mountains all the way to the ocean. Everything in the beautifully designed rooms feels carefully considered. I’ve just come back from a deeply restorative stay at this eco resort, and it was a rare chance to switch off and reconnect with nature and myself. I’m very grateful for the experience.
