Sun Country Lifestyle Park

We spent nine nights at Sun Country Yarrawonga and found it calm and peaceful. The pool was ours almost every day, and when other people were there, they were friendly and considerate. The staff were welcoming, helpful and genuinely pleasant throughout, and we really enjoyed the stay. We’d happily return for another quiet getaway. For longer visits, extra towels would be useful. We stayed more than five nights and ended up washing and reusing ours with detergent we bought. It wasn’t a big problem, but having two towels per shower would be more practical. A tennis or pickleball court could be a great addition, and a couple of claw machines in the games room might be fun for kids and bring in a little extra income. None of the cabin TVs were smart TVs, so it was hard to settle in with a movie at night. We would have brought our Chromecast if the booking details had mentioned it. Smart TVs or built-in Chromecast would be a nice perk, especially since they’re affordable now. Less screen time during the day was nice, but streaming in the evening would have been a bonus. At check-in, we were asked for a physical credit card to photocopy in case dishes weren’t washed properly. I don’t carry one anymore and use Apple Pay. I offered to let them hold the money until checkout, but that wasn’t possible, and the card requirement hadn’t appeared in the booking information. I understand the reason, especially for third-party bookings, but it should be clearly listed as a formal requirement. I was also a little uncomfortable giving staff my full card details to keep when there was no paperwork explaining the process. These are small suggestions, nothing that spoiled our trip, but clearer information and a few updates would make a good stay even better. 😊
