Getting to spend the night in this beautifully restored old home was such a treat. The atmosphere was lovely, and our hosts were delightful. Thanks, Clare and Tim. We’ll be back. Nora and Peter.

The owners have put their own money, time, and skills into restoring Thornebridge at Murchison, and the building’s story includes both the struggles and the successes along the way. It’s a two-storey place with a marvellous staircase and rooms attached. A chance to see a once notable building in the North Central region, straddling the Goulburn River, and well worth seeing and hearing about.

The property was beautiful, a real treasure to visit. We enjoyed a lovely high tea and an interesting tour with two gracious hosts. I’m grateful I got to experience it.
