We stayed in the upstairs apartment at Roxburgh House with another couple, and it was fabulous. It was spacious, beautifully appointed, and tastefully furnished. Salamanca Market was a 10 minute walk one way, and North Hobart restaurants were 10 minutes the other. Friday and Saturday night were a little noisy for sleeping in the front bedroom, but all good. There was also a mix-up with our 2 x provided car spaces, though it worked out in the end.

Gorgeous accommodation in a terrific location. The room was clean and mostly quiet, apart from footsteps in the upstairs apartments and hallways, and the noisy bedroom heater. Check-in was easy, but request a parking space if you need one. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily come back.

Apartment 2 worked really well as a base for seeing the city. It was roomy, and everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance. I'd happily stay there again.

The top-floor suite was spacious and had everything we needed. The place felt secure, and the landlord was great. It sits between North Hobart's restaurants and the CBD and Salamanca Precinct, so either is an easy walk. A lovely heritage stay, highly recommend.

For the price, there was very little provided: no soap or tea, just an empty fridge. The bed was awful and left my back sore, and noise from upstairs kept me awake. At night, the entrance was so poorly lit that I struggled to read the owner's complicated instructions and had a hard time opening the door. Then the owner asked us to do housework before leaving.
