The waterfront location was terrific, with Salamanca market a short walk away, the CBD easy to reach on foot, and the Sky Bus stopping just across the road. We stayed in Room 8 on level 2 for two nights, then came back for another four at the end of our holiday. The room was comfortable and had a great view. Breakfast was included and delicious, and the staff were very friendly and keen to help. There are a few stairs, but staff were happy to assist. It was a little noisy above the bar on Saturday night, though the other nights were fine. We'd be glad to return to this historic building.

The Angus porterhouse was tender, cooked nicely, and tasted great with the seafood surf & turf sause. The vegetables were excellent too, including broccolini, kale 🥬, ripe roasted tomato 🍅 and honey glazed carrots. Good service, and a really relaxing venue.

We had a family connection to the history of Customs House Hotel, and the staff kindly arranged a quick tour even though they were busy serving guests. Dinner was first class, as was the service. We really appreciated their hospitality and attentiveness, and would highly recommend it.

We came back to the restaurant three times during our holiday. The oysters and lobster 1/2 were fresh, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and efficient. It's a great spot to sit outside with a drink and watch the world go by, or head inside for dinner. Great work, people.

The rooms were okay, though they need some improvement, as you can see in the photo. I had excellent seafood from the daily morning offer both times, and would recommend trying it. Dinner and breakfast were excellent too, with a nice atmosphere, quick service, and kind, responsive staff.
