The buffet breakfast was delicious, and the staff and service were faultless. We had a lovely stay in the large family room, which was clean and had everything we needed to relax as a family. The hotel has loads of space and a charming old fashioned feel, while still being kept up to date. It’s close to the CBD and transport. I’d definitely recommend it for families. More family friendly options in the restaurant would be my one suggestion.

The staff were lovely and even looked after my luggage after I checked out. The self service laundry was handy for a stay of a few days, too. The hotel is within walking distance of the CBD, with airport bus stops still quite accessible. The room was bigger than I expected and had all the essentials. I think the bathroom had been renovated recently, but water from the shower area ran out toward the bathroom entrance.

The rooms were neat and comfortable, and the customer service was fantastic. It’s an older place with a very dated, basic look, and we did hear some outside noise. In Hobart it’s pretty quiet most of the time, though. The location is great for the CBD, restaurants and wharf. A very good stay.

We stayed three nights, and the location was definitely the highlight, convenient and close to the main areas. The room facilities felt basic for what we paid. The luggage storage was the most disappointing part: when we asked, the front desk staff told us to take our bags ourselves, and their manner came across as unfriendly and dismissive. It didn’t feel welcoming and left us with a negative impression. The service could be better.

We were exhausted after a red eye flight from Perth WA, especially at our age, in our 70s. They found us a room well before check in, which we really appreciated. It was lovely, clean and comfortable. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
