I found a dead mouse on the carpet on the day I left, and a live one kept me company during the stay. The room itself was okay, but black mould on the wall air conditioner irritated my nose and made me feel sick toward the end of my three nights. I’d specifically asked to have the filters cleaned and to have no mould before arrival, and was assured there wouldn’t be any. But, as usual in places like this, there was. See photos …

A comfortable, super clean room for our one-night family stopover. Bec was lovely, too. It worked perfectly for us.

Bec at reception was so kind and genuine. She helped me with everything I needed and made the whole stay feel easy and welcoming. I had a great time at Red Cedar Motel and would highly recommend it.

I was here for two weeks for work, and the rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Bec, the motel host and manager, was excellent…

The location is handy for walking to the local pub, pizza shop, and 7-Eleven for a late snack. It’s a basic, affordable place that works well if you’re passing through or in town for work. Check-in was friendly, and the refurbished room was generally in good shape. There’s parking onsite, though it can get tight when the tradie utes are all there. The room has a mini fridge, kettle, tea and coffee, and biscuits. Milk was provided at check-in, and the microwave and toaster were useful, but there were no plates or cutlery. The shower and toilet were well maintained, and the towels were fresh, though the shower gel was empty and hadn’t been topped up. Rooms were serviced every day, which is becoming rare at hotels. Being near the highway intersection means overnight trucks can be noisy. You can also hear the train line a couple of blocks away at night. WiFi is free, but patchy at the back of the complex.
