The Bundageree Headland Walk is easy to get to and stunning, and the tidal pool is just a short stroll away. The patrolled surf beach takes a bit more walking, but there are plenty of spots to cool down or find shade when the exposed sites get hot in summer. There’s heaps to do, with mini golf, table tennis, a playground and holiday activities for kids and everyone. They even have a TV for cricket, though that may or may not help with boredom. Staff communicate incredibly well, including during storms, and the waste management is immaculate. Kitchens are beautifully kept and stocked with everything you could need. The bathrooms and showers are remarkably clean for a beach campsite, and the staff are wonderful. It’s the cleanest campground I’ve ever stayed at.

Dinner at the sports club was lovely, and we had good access to the beach. We couldn’t stay long this time, but the unit was comfortable, clean and pet friendly. We’ll try to stay longer next time.

Nice little park, but the kids got kicked out just for jumping into the pool. They were only splashing around like kids do. Pools are for that sort of thing. A friendlier approach would be better than acting like prison guards.

The cabin was a good size and well maintained, with a clean bathroom and living space. The adult bedroom has a sliding door for privacy and a TV, and there are two bunk beds for kids. Inside, there’s a decent fridge and freezer, a two-pot Cooktown, microwave, dining table, TV and two-seat couch. The small enclosed verandah also has a table and chairs for eating outside. The bathroom shower is small but does the job, and there’s an air con unit. The park is tidy, very clean and has great beach access. I also liked that there weren’t too many permanent cabins or caravans. The big problem is check-in for a glimpse, tiny house or cabin isn’t until 3.00PM. I’ve travelled extensively around the world and around Australia, and I’ve never come across a place with check-in that late. Even 2.00pm is late. You pay for the day but can’t get in until the afternoon, while caravans, tents and RVs are in at 10.00. If I’d known, I think I would have gone elsewhere. It feels like a waste of money for a day you don’t get. Ridiculous.

The grounds were immaculate, the amenities clean and modern, and the beach easy to reach. Staff were super friendly and attentive throughout our pleasant three-night stay on a powered site. I especially liked the guest herb garden, such a lovely touch. If you’re after a peaceful stay, this is the place. Thanks for a great visit. We’ll be back!
