My Vodafone phone even had reception, which I wasn’t expecting. Cabin #2 was cozy and adorable, and the price felt great for it. There’s plenty to see and do nearby, with nature all around, and the owners have the cutest dog you’ll ever meet.

The cooked breakfast was great, and Jayne greeted us with complimentary drinks. We were in the single hiker’s rooms, which felt new, were clean and well equipped, and had a nice outlook. The place is right on the Heysen Trail. One person in our group sprained an ankle a few days beforehand and couldn’t walk with us, and we weren’t charged for their late cancellation. Couldn’t ask for more.

It’s easy to reach Normanville, and Victor harbour is about 30 minutes away. The room was very clean, the owners were friendly, and the location was good.

After several days on the Heysen trail, that hot shower felt especially precious, and the rooms were comfortable, clean and stylish. We stopped for a night during our South to North hike and got such lovely country hospitality from Jayne and her grandchildren. The freshly made orange juice and delicious breakfast are unforgettable, and set us up for another long day on the trail. A great stop on the hike. Thanks, Jayne.

I turned up several months ago after 7, completely exhausted and without a reservation. Jayne was out, but still helped me get sorted, took care of my disgusting laundry, and made an amazing breakfast for the next day. The accommodation was really comfortable for a solo hiker or traveler.
