Every afternoon and evening, we’d sit on the balcony looking out over the valley. We spent the days enjoying King Valley’s food and wine, then came back to those incredible views. The accommodation itself is gorgeous too. We’ve just returned from a stay at The Lookout at Mt Bellevue, and it’s hard to put into words how perfect it felt.

The outdoor bath was the highlight for us, completely private and set up to take in the view. We also loved sitting in the very comfortable balcony chairs and watching the fluffy cows walk through the valley below. The closest pub or cafe is a 15 minute drive away, but once we arrived we hardly wanted to leave. The compact one bedroom house feels high end, with modern styling, thoughtful amenities and panoramic views from every room. The entrance to the property is breathtaking, and the photos really don’t capture how lovely the place is. Tim and Liana communicated seamlessly and went beyond what we expected to make us comfortable. We were sad to go, but can’t wait to return. It’s well above 5 stars.

King's valley was new to me, and it’s now easily one of my favorite places in Australia. From Bella Vista, the view is spectacular, and I could happily spend days sitting on the balcony and taking it in. It’s a remote retreat that’s still within driving distance of Melbourne. Tim and Liana were fantastic hosts, and were happy to answer our many questions. Their recommendations were all great. I’ll be back.

The views across King Valley, with the resident cows, are spectacular, and the wineries are only a short drive away. Mt Bellevue is a lovely place to unwind with family and friends, so it belongs on your must-visit list. I’ve stayed several times now, bringing family and friends after loving my first visit so much. It’s a luxury lodge and sky vineyard with a few different options: the original rustic, gorgeous farmhouse Lodge has three bedrooms, while the two architecturally designed luxe lodges are The Bella Vista, with two bedrooms and a hot tub on the deck, and The Lookout, with one bedroom and an outdoor bath. One of the most incredible properties I’ve stayed at.
