We stayed in Cabin 1 for two nights, on 6th and 7th Feb, and really enjoyed the break from being online. It’s a lovely, tidy place, and Lyn and Keiran made us feel very welcome. We watched TV and DVDs together and spent time as a family away from our phones, which was just what we needed. I’d happily stay here again for an event around Busselton, or just for a couple of quiet nights. Thanks for the warm hospitality, Lyn and Keiran. See you next time 🙏
We came to the function centre for our Xmas get together, though we didn’t stay overnight. The tapas were a real highlight, with a great mix of textures and flavours. We had homemade sausage rolls, whipped fetta bruschetta, crispy Korean chicken in a Lotus bun, BBQ pork belly bites, mini Reef and beef, prawn skewers with garlic sweet chilli butter, pumpkin and three-cheese arancini with pine nuts, and lamb skewers with mint jus. All of it tasted amazing, and the bite-sized portions added up to plenty. The formalities gave the kitchen a pause long enough for us to fit in dessert, which was indulgent: mini cheesecakes, mango pavlova smash parfaits, and delicious Mascarpone balls. Lyn and Kieran were great hosts. Lovely venue, highly recommend.
Barragup pool was the highlight of our two-night visit, such a refreshing spot. We stayed in Chalet 3 in a really quiet, secluded part of Nannup, and our little dog could safely wander around freely. There are established trails, and it’s a pleasant 7 km bike ride into town. Loose Goose made for a peaceful getaway. Many thanks, highly recommend.
There’s lots of room to explore with a dog, and you can bring a horse for trail riding too. The peaceful setting, with walking trails, is lovely, and Nannup is only a short drive away. Our chalet was clean and the furniture comfortable, with a log fire inside or outside and a BBQ. The Loose Goose shed also hosts weddings and functions. Lyn and Kieran are great hosts. We’d love to come back to this wonderful escape. 😊
The kids were especially taken with the beds up the ladder in the cosy chalets, and there are plenty of animals for them to see. The hosts were accommodating, the cabins neat and tidy, and there was lots of wood for the fire. The place is close to town but still feels peaceful and out in the wilderness. A beautiful spot for a family trip, definitely recommend.
