We had our wedding here on December 6th, and everyone is still talking about how wonderful Lewana Cottages was. The ceremony under the oak tree felt so romantic, and the reception in the barn was perfectly relaxing. Nola and Errol went far beyond what we expected. I wish I could get married all over again without changing a thing. Thanks so much. We can’t wait to come back for a break and remember the best weekend of our lives.

For our 10 year wedding anniversary vow renewal, we booked all of Lewana cottages for family and friends. Everyone had a wonderful time at the beautiful venue, and Errol and Nola were helpful with questions beforehand and looked after our needs while we were there. The cottages are a little dated and get warm in summer, though some fans are provided. We couldn’t fault the stay and highly recommend Lewana Cottages.

We’ll be going back to Lewana, which we’d highly recommend as both a venue and a holiday destination. For our March wedding, we had a very DIY day, and Nola and Errol helped make it happen. They were helpful in the lead-up, checking we’d thought of the important things, and on the day they looked after guests, helped elderly family members and were lovely to work with. The well-tended venue is amazing. With no curfew and exclusive access to the whole site, we felt like we had the place to ourselves with our friends and family.

The historic barn was a rustic backdrop for the party and the long lunch afterwards. A campfire and heaters kept us outside late, singing and laughing. We celebrated our son’s 30th with an extended family weekend in August, and the stay exceeded expectations even though we’d holidayed at Lewana many times before. Nola and Errol were exceptional hosts from the early planning through the relaxed weekend itself. They were helpful but discreet, so we felt as if the picturesque, special place was ours. Winter sunshine and rain made a lovely mix, while the cosy cottages and log fires added to the sense of wellbeing. Hills, river and trees invite you to explore nature and slow down. Lewana is a unique, affordable destination with so much that’s priceless. Thank you, Nola and Errol, for sharing your home with us.

The cottages were a highlight for our guests. They’re beautifully maintained and rustic, with fireplaces that made evenings feel warm and intimate. Everyone enjoyed being onsite, from morning walks through lush green fields to relaxing by the fires at night. My wife and I couldn’t have imagined a better place for our wedding weekend, and we can’t wait to return for the views, hospitality and magic of Lewana. We held both the ceremony and reception there, which made things easy and stress-free. There are several lovely ceremony spots; we chose the square arbor at the bottom of the dam, surrounded by trees and looking out over the water. It was stunning, with spring colours and natural scenery that felt like a fairytale. The reception space had plenty of room and lots of character and charm for our 80 guests. A bonfire beside the dance floor gave people a place to warm up and chat while others danced under the stars. It made the night feel cosy and memorable. The property has beautiful spring greenery, open fields and peaceful forest, making a relaxed setting. From the start, Errol, Nola and their family were kind, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Communication was excellent during planning, and on the day they went above and beyond, directing guests, helping vendors and making sure everything ran smoothly. Their little shop onsite serves delicious morning coffee, a lovely touch many guests enjoyed. The dam views made for incredible photos, and the whole place had a calm, wholesome feel. Not a single guest failed to comment on how breathtaking it was. The weekend was unforgettable.
