Lake Tinaroo Terraces

We barely slept over the October Labor Day weekend. The walls are very thin, so you hear neighbours talking, walking around, flushing toilets and showering. Their ceiling fans can make an annoying whirring sound through the walls, and car arrivals and departures echo too. Once the crowds left, it was completely quiet. If you don’t have kids, school holidays might be best avoided. I also expected Lake Tinaroo to be a natural lake, but it’s actually a dam with no protection from the wind. During our five nights, the wind howled through the area around the clock, which made the stay unpleasant. Update: The units we stayed in are separate from Tinaroo Terraces but within the same establishment. They’re privately managed by owners who advertise on AIRBNB. It shows up on Google review as Lake Tinaroo Terraces, with “The Lodge” in smaller print, so I thought I had the right place. The units were in a separate building at the back, behind the ones you manage. Sorry, Barry, my apologies.
