Discovery Parks – Lake Tinaroo

There’s plenty to do here, especially during the holidays, when activities like fire truck rides, face painting, pancakes, live music, yard games and bonfires are free. The park has campsites with or without power, as well as cabins with everything you need. It’s right across from the lake, with several playgrounds nearby, including a water play area, plus a swimming pool and heated magnesium pool.

Warwick the manager was so welcoming and kind. It’s clear he cares about both the guests and the park. Our powered grass site was lovely, and the kids had a great time with the face painting, outdoor games and free pancakes. They also loved the pools, waterpark and the ducks by the lake near our site. A perfect spot for a family getaway.

The kids were busy the whole time, with water play, swimming, mini golf, bird feeding, a bouncy pillow, games, colouring, a treasure hunt and ice lollies. There was also a free band and pancakes during our stay. It’s a fun, inexpensive family holiday with good value for the money, and we’ll be back. The park is spotless and well looked after, with plenty of barbecue, kitchen and toilet facilities. Our unit was bright, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The shop has lots of nice food, drinks, sweets and ice cream at reasonable prices. I’d recommend giving this hidden gem a try.

Lake Tinaroo is a lovely place to stay while exploring Atherton Tablelands. Our studio was spacious and clean, and it suited us well for three nights. All the facilities were exceptionally clean and well maintained, especially the laundry we used. The staff were friendly and very helpful, even sorting out the outside light promptly. Highly recommend.
