Comfort Inn William Macintosh

After a long day driving back from our interstate move from Melbourne to Adelaide, we were very glad we’d stopped at William Macintosh Motor Lodge. The room was clean and roomy, the price was very affordable, and the beds were comfortable enough for us to get proper rest before hitting the road again. With the temperature at 40 degrees, the air conditioning and TV were just right. The kitchen was a great surprise too. I ordered the scotch fillet and it was full of flavour and cooked perfectly. We left happy and well rested. A comfortable place with good food if you’re passing through, and we’d stay again.

Parking was really easy with the designated spaces, and the family room looked out onto the backyard, which was fine. It also had a massive TV. The hotel was pretty nice, just a bit old. The “spa” we were promised was very dated and had some mold growing on it. The kids’ sofa bed had crumbs and made a loud creaking sound whenever they moved. Still, it was nice.

The location is handy for the highway and the service station, OTR, just outside town. We stayed a few nights and it was exactly what we needed. The room facilities were good and seemed right for the price. Mario and the team gave fantastic service, and nothing was a problem. The breakfast menu is great too. I’d especially recommend the granola breakfast bowl.

The staff took care of all our requests, and we had a great stay at the Motor Lodge. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. We also ate at the Highlander restaurant and enjoyed the delicious food and regional wines. Thanks for having us. We’d highly recommend it to visitors and will definitely be back.
