Lovingly, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. We were comfortable and I’d stay again, but I’d check the shower first. One panel was missing from the screen, so water got everywhere and we had to mop up. The room was big, with air con, a ceiling fan, a spa and a comfy bed. The decor was very old, down to a bedside radio from the 50's, and the layout was odd, with a few things that need fixing. There was a strange stain on one tub chair cushion, and you couldn’t turn it over. The toilet roll holder was behind your back, and the tea and coffee supplies were beside the TV with no room to make a drink. The air con didn’t seem strong enough for the room, so we ran the ceiling fan and shut the bathroom door to cool it down. The guy who was running the place when we arrived was super nice and polite, and we loved him. At least the TV reception worked.

We booked at the last minute, and the staff were ready for us when we arrived, happy, welcoming and friendly. The clean room had everything we needed for the night, and the bed was comfy. It’s conveniently just outside town and off the main road, and we didn’t notice any road noise. I’d stay again.

After driving over 1000 KMS the day before, we pulled into Nandewar Motel at Narrabri. A very friendly and helpful young man met us, and the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and had a spa bath, and the lovely pool looked well maintained. Excellent for the price. We’d stay again if driving through the area.

The price was reasonable, and staying at Nandewar was a good experience. Our room was large, with a really comfortable bed, and the bathroom had loads of space and a roomy, hot shower. The man at reception was friendly and helpful. I'd stay again.

The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable, with working TV, fridge and kettle, plus plenty of tea, coffee and milk. But after a full day on the road, the loud swearing from the room next door really got to me. I told him to be quiet at 12:30 a.m. and things settled, then I was woken at 6:30. As a woman travelling alone, I felt a bit unsafe. That neighbour made the stay disappointing.
