Ellis beach is a quiet spot for a family break, and I loved that dogs are welcome. We stayed in an amazing oceanfront cabin, within walking distance of the lifesaving-patrolled part of the beach. The bar and grill across the road served excellent meals and drinks. Palm Cove is only a short 5-minute drive away if you want more restaurant choices.

We spent two weekend nights here and I can't think of anything I'd change. Our beachfront cabin had a small kitchenette with enough gear to cook, and reception had great supplies. The pool was lovely, and the location worked well with the Tavern across the road. Thank you!

This was a great base for day trips, and the beach was lovely to walk along. In September the water was a beautiful temperature for swimming as long as you liked. We stayed in a Garden View cabin, which was great and just a two-minute walk from the sea. It was wonderful having the beach right there with no road in front, and the pool was clean, pleasant, and nicely shaded for when the beach got too hot. If you're there on a Sunday, Port Douglas Market is well worth the trip. Go early to beat the heat and crowds.

Our powered beachfront site feels like paradise, with plenty of room and the beach literally right there. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the amenities are clean. There's everything we wanted on site: the beach, a pool, and a shop at reception, plus Ellis Beach Bar and grill across the road. We loved it enough to add an extra night, and would have stayed longer if we could. Thank you Ellis Beach Oceanfront Caravan Park. We'll be back and recommending it to everyone!

The beachside setting and location are great, and the place has been newly renovated. The only drawbacks for me were that the beachside campsites sit a bit close together and there isn't much room to park the car. Otherwise, a top place.
