9 'Shoal Bay Beach Apartments' 2 Shoal Bay Road -Air Conditioning And Complex Swimming Pool

We stayed in ROOM 17!! and it wasn't worth the money. The room was filthy, with unchanged sheets, kitchen trash that hadn't been changed, and bugs everywhere. A broken light switch left the fan light on all night and day, and we had no power for 8 hours. The shower was broken and flooded the whole bathroom. Someone random was watching us from the ground, and they gave us the wrong room key. Would not recommend.

The apartment had a pool downstairs, and both the shops and beach were just a short walk away, with the beach only a minute off. We stayed in one of the apartments managed by Jay and Rod from Shoal Bay SUP. It was fresh and clean, and the aircon worked well. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back when we're staying on the coast.

The queen bed was comfortable, but the single beds could give you a sore back if you're prone to that. The apartment was functional, with a full kitchen and appliances, though the rest of it let things down. We paid extra for a bay view but all we saw was bush and the main road. There were only two teaspoons for cutlery, cobwebs in the main bedroom, fluff on both bedroom carpets, and no shampoo or body wash for travellers relying on it. The lounge only seated three in a four-person apartment. When we called Winning Holidays to ask why the aircon wasn't working, the staff were rather rude.

We stayed in an apartment managed by Jay & Rod and had a wonderful time. They gave us such a warm welcome and were hospitable and accommodating with our requests. They also manage Shoal Bay SUP, another must-do activity while you're there. The apartment was freshly furnished and had all the amenities and comforts we could want. It's just a stone's throw from the beaches, Tomaree Mountain and local eateries. We'll definitely be back, and would recommend a getaway here if you're after some R&R and fun in the sun.
