The Landmark Resort Nelson Bay

The location made everything easy, with a short stroll to the marina, local cafes and some incredible beaches. We could relax by the pool, explore nearby, or just unwind in the room. From arrival, the staff made us feel welcome and looked after. Our room was spacious, spotless and beautifully presented, with a balcony overlooking the bay that was lovely for morning coffee or a sunset drink. The comfortable bedding and thoughtful amenities made the stay feel special. We left refreshed and are already planning another visit. Highly recommend The Landmark Nelson Bay for a relaxing getaway.

As a couple, we found the resort a good mix of relaxing and lively, and its central spot made it easy to walk to the marina, local boutiques and dining places within minutes. The spa pool was a lovely way to unwind after exploring the Port Stephens coastline, and the staff made us feel right at home. There are great vegetarian-friendly cafes nearby serving a mean smashed avocado, perfect for a slow morning. Whether relaxing on the balcony or taking the local trails, it made an ideal base for a coastal getaway. We can't wait to return.

Everything's within walking distance, and the place is so close to everything. The front desk staff were kind and really helpful. Alecia and Georgia were always ready to help my partner and me if we needed anything. The pool was clean and fresh every day we were there, and the room aircon was lovely and cool.

The view from our window was a car park, despite the booking image suggesting we’d see water. And this property isn’t on the bay, so getting to and from the beach means a walk. Those details matter when you’re paying $2,500 for five nights. The apartment was clean, and a few staff members were genuinely lovely. But supplies were a constant hassle. Over our five-day stay, we had to keep asking for bath, pool and beach towels, plus toilet paper and dishwashing liquid. One toilet paper roll and two small sachets of washing-up liquid for five days weren’t enough. After going downstairs to ask again and again, I eventually bought supplies at Woolworths myself. The air-conditioning setup also wasn’t what I expected. There’s one split system for the whole apartment, rather than separate air-conditioning in the rooms, and it isn’t very powerful. We were lucky not to have temperatures above 30°C, or that would have been a serious problem. For that price, I expected better service, enough basics without repeated requests, and an accurate description of the view and amenities. The experience didn’t match what we paid.
