Boulevard on Beaumont

We’d arranged to check out at 12:30 because we arrived very late with small children. At 10am, the cleaner knocked and opened our door within seconds, waking everyone, including the kids. I called the staff to explain what had happened. A few minutes later, someone from the hotel called, but instead of apologising, a different staff member asked how I planned to pay for the late departure. I was appalled. He raised his voice instead of listening. Terrible customer service.

The rooms are fine and the location is handy, but the Wi-Fi was useless when I needed to work. My room was at the end of a floor and had no decent connection, so working from there was impossible. The help desk couldn’t fix it and referred me to the network integrator, who said the bandwidth was good. Management never followed up and were rude about it. The ratings seem to tell a story.

The place was dark and dingy, and smelled of smoke. Then I found questionable-looking hair and dirt on the pillow. I refused to stay and booked another hotel.

I paid 300 a night for a stay in dirty, dusty rooms. Staff were rude, and the advertising was incorrect before I bought. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I’m contacting fair trading and health inspectors because the place is despicable. Stay away!
