The location is terrific, though parking is limited and costs $25 a day on site. The pool is nice, but it isn’t heated, and reception downstairs has plenty of drinks and snacks for sale. Our room was spacious and had almost everything you’d want, including a full kitchen, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. We were very pleased with our stay. A few irritations: there are no drying racks, even to rent, and a crib costs $15 a night, while most places provide one free. You also have to enter codes in quick succession for the building, lift and apartment door. A card or fob would make more sense.

The location was awesome, close to the harbour, restaurants and bars. Staff were friendly and check-in was easy. The apartment at Honeysuckle Executive Apartments was clean, modern and spacious, and I had a great stay. Five stars, I’d definitely come back when I’m in Newcastle.

The online photos don’t really do these apartments justice. Our room was clean, modern and spacious, with two massive TVs, one in the lounge room and one in the bedroom. Brilliant location. We were happily surprised and will definitely stay again. It’s our new go-to hotel in Newcastle.

I really appreciated the staff’s honesty when my partner left something valuable in the room. We were able to come back later and get it. Parking was easy to pre-pay for, with plenty of spaces in the secure lot. About 30 minutes before check-in, I got the car park and hotel access codes. We liked the kitchen facilities and made a fabulous meal in the kitchenette. I’d read somewhere there was a BBQ on site, but I think AI had mentioned it. There isn’t one. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

The location is perfect for cafes, restaurants, beaches, light rail and places to walk or cycle. Nearby apartment construction made it noisy with the doors open, though it was fine once they were closed. Parking took some effort: reception didn’t send the right link, so I had to call three times to sort it out. The instructions weren’t clear, and every space we saw was marked private. Eventually someone left and we could park in Hotel Parking.
