The pool is a must, and there are plenty of affordable places to stay in the park. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and the facilities were clean and looked after. I’d recommend heatherbrae holiday village to families looking around the Maitland/Newcastle/Port Steven’s area.

They handled my concerns with understanding and sorted out my situation. The whole transaction went smoothly, which I really appreciated.

The kids had a great time at the pool and waterside, and the service was lovely. It’s a good location and surprisingly quiet for being so close to a major road. The main drawback was the long walk to the bathrooms, which are very outdated.

The units were near new and in good shape, and although we expected traffic noise, it wasn’t an issue during our 10 nights. The rest was disappointing. There was nowhere much to put our things, and I’ve never sat on a less comfortable lounge. The Wi-Fi instructions on the information sheet didn’t work for us. Staff eventually said it only reached the community areas, but that wasn’t true either, and they didn’t seem to care. When I complained that the dryers weren’t working, they dismissed it because no error code showed, as if I were making it up. I didn’t get my $30 back and had to take wet washing into town to dry. Everything was minimal standard apart from the price, which was far too high for comparable accommodation. I won’t use one of their "holiday parks" again.
