Newcastle Interchange Apartments

More than a week later, I still hadn’t heard a thing from Newcastle Interchange Apartments, and hotels.com seemed uninterested in refunding me. I’m very dissatisfied with how both Newcastle Interchange Apartments and hotels.com handled this. They’ve lost a loyal customer. I booked through hotels.com in good faith, then found I hadn’t received the check-in instructions. The phone number listed there was fake, so I couldn’t reach the host, and there was nothing at the location. Around 21.00 I contacted hotels.com to explain that this didn’t seem like a serious operator and ask for a refund. They said I probably hadn’t read the terms properly and the booking was non-refundable. I pointed out the fake contact number. At 23.57, their final reply suggested several things that showed they hadn’t read my earlier emails or understood time zones, including checking the door at the property. They said they MIGHT be able to refund me if the “hotel” agreed.
