The room was roomy, with a kitchenette and plenty of floor fans to help with the heat. The price seemed reasonable at first, the location was fine, and the owner was friendly. But the hotel is old and run down. The carpet was torn and dirty, and there’s a kitchen notice saying guests must wash the dishes or pay a $20 fine. Since guests do the cleaning, I wondered whether the dishes were always done properly. There’s a tiny pool, though it looked a bit scary to me. The place needs updating, and thinking it over, the price felt steep for its condition.

We paid over $400 for two nights, which is cheap, but with a 3 star rating management should still think about guest comfort. People’s word of mouth is always the most effective unpaid advertising. The unit was dark and humid, and the electric fans mostly didn’t work properly. That made it very uncomfortable, especially for my one month old daughter, so we ended up staying somewhere else. The rooms and furniture are dated and need a thorough clean and dusting. The doors weren’t secure because the locks were broken.

It was clean, which was great, and Leon, who runs the place, was really nice, helpful and knew the area well. It’s not modern, but at $100 a night in Noosa, who cares? The old school, nostalgic feel reminded me of Aussie holidays when I was a kid. Nice and relaxing.

We come every January and at other random times too, and have had great stays over the last 10 years. It’s a little dated, but I’m in Noosa to relax, go to the river and beach, and see the local area, not stay cooped up in a unit block. I just need somewhere to sleep. The units are clean and tidy, and the price is fair. There’s no air conditioning, but the fans are okay.

We spent one night in a cabin. It’s pretty cramped for four people, so it works best if you’re out most of the day and only come back to sleep. There’s parking right in front of the cabin. The shared bathroom was clean and spacious. Laundry, a pool and a games room are there too.
