Big4 Normanville Jetty Holiday Park

We were on the southern side, so this is only about that part of the park. The wide sites are great, and it’s quiet, with lighting that mostly doesn’t disturb your sleep. A few lights sit right in front of some sites, though, and we could see how those would be a problem. Beach access is fantastic. The amenities could use a deep clean, but it was school holidays, so that’s understandable. We’ll come back and try the northern side.

The cleaner was rude when we asked about the disabled toilets, and we’ve found the staff unwelcoming on our visits. We were told we couldn’t check in at 1:30 because check-in was at 2, while we saw other people being let in. Charges also seemed to vary. Our friends paid over $30 more than us for the same stay and a site next door; people ahead of us in line paid $20 less for the same period, with a dog and child, and got a better site. At $200 for 3 nights, it’s BS when all you’re looking at is shabby permanent vans and cabins. We won’t return or recommend it.

The location is lovely, but booking management is now handled by an offsite company. The helpful staff on site can’t sort out booking issues, and that isn’t their fault. Several people we spoke with had trouble getting the site they wanted, even after booking 12 months ahead. Calling the office number puts you through to the management company, not the staff at the park.

A shout-out to Travis, who’s helpful and always on the job, and to the cleaners for keeping the toilets and showers excellent. The ladies at check-in make it quick and simple too. We always enjoy staying here: clean facilities, tidy green lawns, and an easy check-in. Keep it up, and we’ll see you in a few months.
