Weeks later, I'm still waiting for my refund. My plans in Hobart changed, and I needed to cancel the room, which the contract allows with notice. I called twice, weeks before we were due to arrive. The first staff member said he couldn't handle cancellations but promised someone would call the next day. A full week passed without a call, so I phoned again. They told me the reservation was cancelled and the refund would be processed within the week. When that didn't happen, I cancelled through their online portal. I booked at the waggon boutique accommodation after reading several excellent reviews. I'd give this business zero stars if I could. I'm writing to caution others who expect customer service or for the business to honour its terms.

The Waggon was a wonderful surprise on a last minute trip to Hobart for my wife and me. The rooms were modern and huge, with a latest model smart TV and a massive comfortable bed. We also got two free drinks. Dinner downstairs in the bar was great, with a good selection, and Paul looked after us really well. Affordable, clean, and fun, definitely worth considering.

For winter in Hobart, this was the best value we found. The place was spotless, modern, roomy, fairly quiet, and well located in North Hobart. There are lots of nearby places to go for dinner, plus a modern pub downstairs with a nice menu and Tassie beers, wine, and spirits. Check in and check out were easy. Thanks, guys, hope to see you again soon.

The Waggon Hotel is nicely styled, with a modern but cosy feel, and the location made things easy. Local shops are a quick walk away, and parking was simple. The bed was incredibly comfortable, genuinely the best sleep we've had. The giant bathroom felt like a treat, and the complimentary cocktails were a lovely surprise. Having the Waggon Hotel Pub downstairs was a bonus. The food was amazing, the drinks were great, and we didn't have to go far after dinner. We're glad we stayed and would recommend it.

The owners, Paul snd Clay, were the real highlight of our birthday weekend at The Waggon Hotel. They made us feel so welcome and even shared a drink with us on a couple of nights. Their hospitality and enthusiasm for the place came through in the details. We loved the beautifully styled bedrooms, especially the ultra-comfortable bed and pillows. I'm fussy about pillows, and these were some of the best I've had in a hotel. Complimentary cocktails were a nice welcome, and dinner at the hotel was superb, with every dish beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The cocktails were outstanding too. Highly recommend The Waggon Hotel, and we can't wait to return.
