Fraser Island Retreat

There’s plenty of room for a group to gather by the firepit, paddle along the lake’s edge, or simply spend time together in peace. The house is clean, solid and looked after, with comfort and character, though it isn’t flashy. What makes the stay special is the island setting, with native bush, calm water and a real sense of quiet, even though the mainland is only minutes away. It’s a secluded spot where a group can unwind without the usual distractions. Fraser Island Retreat near Lake Entrance quietly exceeded my expectations. It’s a different kind of getaway, and all the better for it.

Looking back on our trip from March, my friends and I had an unbelievable time at Fraser Island retreat. The team helped fit our fairly large group in at short notice, and they were absolutely amazing about it. We got to relax and enjoy our celebrations in the beauty of the homestead and island. It’s tough to keep everyone in a big group happy, but everyone left the weekend in great spirits. Thanks for having us. We’ll be back!

What a trip. Just days before we were due to go, the biggest storm of the year knocked out power to lakes entrance, and we were heading over two weeks before the new management took over. Charmaine and Monja handled all our back and forth so well and made sure the trip still went smoothly. The new caretakers on the island were great too, available when we needed them and otherwise out of sight, so we could enjoy the place without any fuss. There’s golf, fishing, a pool, tennis and cooking, with so much to do. Definitely worth the trip. Thanks again, guys. We’ll be back.

The easy booking and warm, friendly service made the whole hiring process a great experience. Huge thanks to Charmaine, Monja, Daniel and Emile from Remax Lakes Entrance. I’m so grateful to the management and housekeeping team for everything they did for my partner’s 40’s. The island was a 10/10 and far exceeded our expectations. The scent of pine and sea salt greeted us when we arrived, and the pleasant walk from the peer to the house wound past trees before opening onto a lovely, well-kept garden and the main house. You can walk a loop around the island in about 30-40’. I highly recommend it, and jumping from the peer for a swim too. Don’t miss the stars at night. We even saw Elon’s Starlink! The house gets 8/10. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional, clean and equipped with what you might need, including crockery, a microwave, toasters, a coffee machine and utensils. The beds were super comfy, the showers were great, and there was a hair dryer. Facilities also get 8/10. Everything was great, from the pizza oven to the pool and the cute little kiosk beside it, which has a second gas bbq. There are lots of trestle tables if needed and plenty of wood fire. I was especially thrilled that everything runs on solar.
