Our room was nicely decorated, with a balcony looking over the pool. It’s a large resort, but the rooms sit at different angles, so we weren’t looking straight into other people’s rooms. Be aware there are lots of stairs if mobility is an issue.

We’ve stayed at the Mantra Amphora Palm Cove many times over the years, and it keeps delivering high standards. The room was great, with nothing we could fault, and there’s a large, lovely garden-surrounded pool. It’s right opposite the beach and an easy walk to everything Palm Cove offers. The reception staff are friendly, lovely and helpful. We especially want to mention "Magda", our best employee. She’s brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, and she always laughs at my lame jokes. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a one-bedroom Superior Apartment facing the lagoon pool. The resort is spacious, with lots of loungers and wide open views across the pool and grounds. Such a tropical oasis, the pool is amazing. Highly recommend, and can’t wait to come back.

The location is perfect, and the rooms are large and spacious with good air conditioning. But the services and rooms leave a lot to be desired. Wi-Fi is advertised, but reception said it’s “weak” and not always available in rooms. They’re apparently looking at upgrading it, so be prepared to have no internet beyond your phone. With no internet, there are no streaming services on the TV. We also had cockroaches in our room. The outdoor spaces and balconies need fans, and parking isn’t close to rooms near the Esplanade. I found the reception staff rude and unhelpful at check-in. Wouldn’t stay again.

I rarely post reviews, but this stay was so disappointing I had to share it. The reception team were rude, overwhelmed and completely disrespectful from the moment we checked in. We felt like an inconvenience, not welcome guests. Trying to speak with management meant long waits, and we got no real solutions or accountability. The internet was practically unusable, and the TV in our room didn’t work at all. For a hotel charging $1400 AUD, those are basic expectations. Poor service, no support and substandard amenities made what should have been a relaxing stay incredibly frustrating. It was the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
