El Mexicali Motel

We were in a family room at the rear of the property, and it was very quiet. The room was a great size, easy to get around, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The shower was large and had hot water after a minute or two. The office was easy to deal with, and since we arrived late they arranged simple after-hours access. We didn’t see staff, but they gave us a phone number for emergencies. Fresh towels each day and the rubbish bins were emptied. Happy to stay here again next time we’re in Parkes.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, among the best I’ve slept in at the many hotels I use for work and leisure. The room itself was average but very clean, with great aircon, a big TV, tea, coffee, biscuits, a desk, chair, and fridge. I ran the tap for ages washing my face and the water only got lukewarm, so I worried the next day’s shower would be cold. It did get hot, though, you just have to be patient. A perfect stay, and I wish I’d booked another night to get the extra rest I needed. I’ll book here again next time I’m in town.

The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were clean, especially the air conditioning unit and fan, which are the first things I check. Good jam drop biscuits and little shampoo bottles to take home too. Highly recommend.

We stay here for work and can’t fault the place. The rooms are tidy and clean, with daily service. The BBQ area out back is great, and it’s nice and quiet since the bypass opened.
