We spent our first night in Cairns at the Red Sparrow and had a very comfortable bed with all the facilities available. Colin and Christine were lovely hosts, and very flexible. They let us check in early and even drove us, with our luggage, to our next accommodation. I'd highly recommend staying here.

The host was very friendly, and there was plenty of continental breakfast, along with coffee and tea. This brand-new two-bedroom house was more than adequate for four people, with a spacious bathroom and three powerful air conditioners. It's in a super area, close to the Reef Fleet terminal for the Great Barrier Rief, Green island and Fitzroy island. Cairns Central Rail station is just steps away for the Kuranda Skyrail and Historic Scenic Train. Highly recommended.

Our last night of the holiday was really comfortable, and we got a very warm welcome. The place was absolutely spotless. It's right near the centre of Cairns and gave us an authentic feel for life in a Queenslander home. The hosts were warm, friendly and helpful.

Colin and Christine were very accommodating, and the amenities were top notch. The bedrooms had air conditioning, and the surroundings were clean and tidy. Colin is a good source of information about community tourist activities. It was a fantastic stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere comfortable.
