The room and bathroom were clean, and we both liked the simple, understated interior. The bed suited my bad back and was really comfortable. We stayed while visiting my mother, and it was a very peaceful, pleasant visit. I thought the room was well priced, and we'd stay again.

We were so disappointed by the condition of the room, and management wouldn't acknowledge our concerns. I've slept in rat holes in India, but this is the only place I've ever left rather than stay. It was advertised as boutique lodging and priced that way, though it felt more like low-budget accommodation. Totally unsatisfactory.

The room was private and quiet, with no trouble from street noise, and the staff made us feel welcome. The place is in the middle of a quiet little town, and the facility itself is lovely. We didn't eat there, but the kitchen and dining area looked very well appointed and seemed popular with locals. I'd highly recommend it for a weekend away.

After we mentioned being hungry late at night following a wedding, the proprietor brought out sandwiches, scones and drinks. She also drove all 12 of us to and from the wedding and suggested wineries. She was funny, kind and incredibly accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and breakfast was delicious. It felt like being at home, and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone after a relaxed boutique hotel stay in the countryside.

The breakfast was really tasty, and we'd love to return for a longer stay. The room was thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated, with lots of bedding and good lighting. The mattress was so comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Its light has a heater, which should be great in winter. There's also a large shared area with seats and couches. Good luck to the new owners, you're doing an excellent job.
