The staff at the bar and restaurant were so accommodating. I’m not a gambler, but needed a table for about 40 minutes to sort something out back home. They let me stay, finish my beer and place an order nearly an hour after I’d sat down. I felt very comfortable, and their kindness made the meal much better. Thank you. Every Team Member was impeccable, and the atmosphere had that high-end feel, with people dressed to the nines throughout the week. The place makes Melbournes look old. I tried the $59 steak on the gaming floor, but it wasn’t worth it. The effort there made me think of dining at Rockpool, where you want to play at that level, but I hope choosing a restaurant or table isn’t all a wild gamble. I need to come back for a weekend. I wouldn’t do that at Melbourne.

Crown’s dealers and frontline staff are still some of the best around. They care about customers and work hard in difficult conditions, but management seems to be heading the other way. For a premium 5-star entertainment venue, the experience doesn’t feel like a priority anymore. It seems more focused on cost cutting and short-term numbers than keeping the quality Crown was known for. The poker room makes the problem obvious. On public holidays and during busy periods, waiting lists get huge because there aren’t enough dealers rostered to run games. Players end up waiting around while tables sit unused. The dealers already there are doing their best, but they can only do so much. From the outside, it looks like management is trying to improve the financials by streamlining instead of investing in the customer experience. Cutting staff at the expense of service is short-sighted in hospitality and entertainment, where atmosphere matters so much. Crown’s employees need better support, and customers should get the premium experience they pay for.

The busy, slightly upscale atmosphere at Atrium at Crown Perth made it a nice place for a special night out. Staff kept things running smoothly and were attentive despite how busy it was. We visited for dinner about six months ago and found the buffet fresh and well prepared, with plenty of choice across cuisines. There was seafood, Asian food, Western favourites and lots of desserts. A good option if you like buffet dining and want lots to choose from.

Burswood is a lovely place to meet up with friends and enjoy some time together. There are nice views, plenty of fresh air and a relaxing feel. It’s close to the city, which makes it handy for walks, socialising and taking in the surroundings.

Valli was especially kind and generous, and a delight to talk with about the hotel and its facilities. My wife and I stayed for two nights to celebrate my 80th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I’d highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in Perth, Western Australia.
