The apartment is well located, within walking distance of Freemantle attractions, and has good-sized bedrooms and living space. For the price, though, I expected better. The walls need painting to cover all the marks, and the kitchen and bathroom taps leak, as does the ensuite toilet. Cleaning and maintenance need to be improved. There’s also a sign in the living area right in your face listing snack prices. The place isn’t as luxurious as the online photos suggest.

It’s easy to explore on foot from here, with Fremantle market and the mall nearby. The place is wheelchair friendly, though I was on the first floor and there wasn’t much of a view. Hot water was available, but there were no shampoo racks or clothes hooks in the toilet. The whole household had just one key, and on the first day I couldn’t connect my Android phone to WiFi. Still, I was happy with the stay.

Richard was a very welcoming host, and the three-bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and within walking distance of everything. Great value for money. The dishwasher was very loud and the showers could have been a little hotter, but those were minor issues. We had an excellent stay.

The apartment’s location in central Fremantle was great, and Richard, the manager, was helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our stay overall, but I wouldn’t return unless the place were brought up to standard for its price. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the air conditioning excellent, and with more attention to detail this could be a great place. A few basics were missing. The kitchen was poorly stocked, as if whoever equipped it hadn’t cooked there: no paper towels, dishwashing liquid, coffee for the coffee machine, salt, pepper, or cooking oil, and many basic utensils were missing. We bought extra tea towels and bin liners, and the knives were so blunt they were barely usable. The cutlery drawer says it isn’t dishwasher safe, which seems ridiculous. In the bathroom there was shampoo but no conditioner. One towel per person for a seven-day stay didn’t feel normal, and beach towels are a must in Perth since travelers can’t be expected to pack bulky ones. The bath plug was more like a lid that kept popping up, making it hard to bathe our baby. We also had to ask twice for more toilet paper. There were no fitted sheets, so the sheets kept coming loose overnight, though the beds themselves were comfortable. The place clearly needed a deeper clean. The skirting boards looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years, and we found someone’s hairbrush behind a curtain. Lastly, the pool lights on the edge were out, which we know from being in this kind of business is a safety violation. As a business owner, I value constructive feedback, so I’m leaving this review to give the owner a chance to respond publicly and address these issues.
