New York On King

The host made us feel welcome, and the apartment building and room were very nice. The bed was super comfy, the carpet soft, and the bathroom lighting worked perfectly for doing my makeup. The A/C was a little noisy, and I’m not sure the toilet bowl was properly fixed to the floor. I’d recommend staying here and would come back myself.

We loved the luxury studio apartment and its location when we stayed at New York On King on a Saturday night. The building itself is beautiful, and Anne gave excellent service.

I booked this for my best friend, who was going through a crisis and needed somewhere for the night to get a brief break from the stress. At $350 a night on a Tuesday, I expected much more. The room looked like it had everything from a distance, but the gowns and slippers had been used and smelled unpleasant. The pillows had a noticeable odor too. The heater was so loud that we chose to be cold instead of dealing with the noise and headache from the aging system. Agoda’s add-on said breakfast was included, but all we got was all bran, a tub of yogurt and a box drink. Parking was a total nightmare. For that price, the whole stay was well below average.

After two nights on Rottnest Island, we needed a room at short notice before heading home, and Anne managed to fit us in. Earlier, Gray had welcomed us warmly on arrival and even offered to help with our luggage. We booked the King Spa Suite, which was just what we needed after most of a day travelling. It was spacious, and we were pleased to hear the fridge items were complimentary, including milk, breakfast cereal, juice, lollies and chocolate, along with welcome drinks. The location worked perfectly for transport, shopping and dining. If you’re looking for great accommodation, do yourself a favour and stay at the New York on King. You won’t be disappointed.
