The property itself is lovely, in a wonderful location, and my room was clean, comfortable, and well presented. I appreciated the staff member who helped the next morning. If noise bothers you, though, I’d strongly suggest asking for a room away from the Pakenham and bar side of the building. I’d just finished the Cape to Cape charity walk from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin, over 120kms, and was absolutely exhausted. I needed somewhere quiet to rest, but my room on the Pakenham side, near a bar, was incredibly noisy. It was so loud I thought music was coming through a speaker in my room. Around 10pm I called reception and asked to move the next morning. They said the hotel was fully booked, and that I’d have to check out at 10am and wait until 2pm for another room. I asked if I could stay in my current room until the new one was ready, given how tired I was, but they said no. I also asked to speak to a manager and was told that wasn’t possible. The only offer was a late checkout until 11am. The next morning, while I was packing to check out, another Quest representative called and said I actually could stay in my room until the replacement was ready. That was exactly what I’d asked for the night before. The way the situation was handled overnight was disappointing, especially after I explained how physically exhausted I was from a major charity walk for mental health awareness.

The location is central and handy for restaurants, grocers, and ferries. We enjoyed the gym and the free one hour bike rental, and the pool would be nice. Most of the staff were super friendly, helpful, and nice. I should have looked into parking more before our travel agent booked it. There’s no parking at the property, so you need to use the large carpark across the street for $12 per day. It was hard to find, and staff couldn’t explain the location very well. Better written directions would help, though I’m not sure if they’ve been updated. Our room was very small, just a little kitchen, bed, and table, with no couch or living area. I’d stay again if we booked a bigger room with a couch and table.

The staff are what stand out most. Front of house felt like a genuine team, friendly and efficient, always taking time to say hello. Housekeeping were just as warm and seemed to take pride in their work. They reset the rooms without fuss, and coming back to a made bed, fresh towels, and a straightened kitchenette made a real difference. After four weeks there, I can say the service stayed consistent from start to finish. I didn’t just happen to catch good staff on one good day. I’ve stayed twice, first for four weeks last Nov-Dec, then for the three nights just gone in February. The property is centrally located without intrusive noise, and it’s clean, fresh, well presented, with a trendy feel. Rooms have high ceilings, the kitchenettes help avoid takeaway every night, and the beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. I can’t recommend it enough and will absolutely stay here again when I’m in Fremantle. For parking, download the EasyPark app. There’s plenty of reasonably priced street parking overnight, or a short walk to the ferry gets you to better priced long term and day time parking.

We stayed several nights from Feb. 4/26. The room was quite small and didn’t have much of a kitchen to use. The location was good for walking around the downtown core, and it was easy to get to the ferry for Rottnest Island. Parking cost extra.

We had plenty of room in a two bedroom apartment for our family of four adults and one kid. The location is the best part, in a quieter corner of Fremantle but still convenient for walking to the bars, jetty for Rottnest, Fremantle Market, breweries, and more.
