Rose & Crown Hotel

We came back Saturday night for a family gathering of about 30. They gave us a private area of our own near the bar, and everyone loved the pizzas. We stayed overnight and the room was great. Earlier, we’d had a lovely Monday dinner. I like knowing Rose and Crown will deliver a good meal, and the changed menu has some great new options. As a vegetarian, I’m always impressed by the choices, even though I don’t eat meat or fish.

The beers were cold, the food was good, and service was friendly and efficient. We only ordered snacks rather than a full meal. We love this place, though we don’t often head this way for dinner since we usually go coastal. One of us is FIFO, and the hotel is an easy stop before going home, so we told ourselves we should come back at least once a month.

We had a wonderful dinner for eight, with delicious meals that were very reasonably priced. The chef’s special sous vide kangaroo was just right. From the two lovely bouncers guiding us in from the car park to the waiters sharing plenty of giggles with us as we searched for the resident ghost, the whole evening was such fun. It’s a beautiful venue to spend time in too. Thank you.

The Sunday roast was porchetta, with crunchy crackling, tender juicy pork, fresh vegetables and a yorkshire pudding on the side. Best roast I’ve ever had, and the food quality completely blew me away. It felt like fine dining. The old pub is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere, with the beer served ice cold. 10 out of 10. If I lived in Perth, I’d be here every Sunday.
