Verandah Apartments

The team were flexible about billing, which was the best part for us. They agreed to charge us on the first day and every 10 days, rather than ask for the full amount for the whole stay when we booked. I stayed here with my wife for about 2 months in 2015, and it was easily one of my best stays. The apartment was generally neat and clean, around a 10-15 min walk from the city center and close to the CBD. Restaurants and grocery stores were nearby. The wifi was a little weak, but they addressed it promptly. People were usually very helpful, though service could have been a bit better. I wouldn’t expect 5 star service from a service apartment.

It’s in a great spot at the quieter end of Northbridge, with parking available. The rooms are good value, spacious, well equipped, and have plenty of storage and hanging space. They were flexible when we needed to change arrangements and were happy to accommodate requests. I’d stay again.

The apartment smelled of stale cigarettes, and the rooms weren’t clean. I brought it up with staff, but they said they couldn’t smell anything. Hygiene standards were very poor, and I won’t be coming back. My girlfriend had booked it for us as a birthday stay.

The staff were wonderful and friendly, and the location makes it an easy walk to restaurants and nightlife. Beds were comfortable and parking was secure. The WiFi was hopeless, the outdoor furniture was very tattered and maybe unsafe, and the carpet was a bit grotty. Even with those issues, I highly recommend it. I loved this return stay as much as the first and will definitely come again. Thank you.
