The location is useful, within walking distance of the CBD, and the price was cheap, $22 for a room for two. People staying there seemed nice, and it was enough for one night if you just need a cheap option. The place itself was dirty and smelled. We had no idea whether the room had been cleaned before we arrived, so we slept in our own sleeping bags instead of using the bedding. At check-in, someone who looked like they hadn't slept told us only our room number and nothing about the hostel. The toilets and showers needed a full refit, and I would rather stay smelly than shower there. The kitchen was a mess, with things left everywhere and no one cleaning up. Just standing in it made me feel dirty, never mind cooking. Don't expect much.

Oh my days, this hostel was horrendous. There were holes punched in the wall, and we probably should have walked straight back out when we saw them. The showers had no dividers, the toilet had no door, and the tap didn't work. You'll want a proper scrub after seeing it.

We lasted about 10 minutes before leaving. Our room was dirty, with broken cupboards and a curtain hanging halfway down, so the window wasn't covered. It was really hot when we stayed in summer, and there was no air-con. I don't know how anyone could stay the night. I wouldn't recommend this hostel.

Wombat Family for ever! Free wifi, air-con in every room now, and new doorlocks. It's clean enough, the people and staff are nice, and there's no stress. There is a lot of drinking and smoking there, though. Best place for backpackers in Perth, all perfect.

The place is rotten, and the owner is Terrible. The rooms were smelly and dirty, and the hallway was horrible. On weekends there were drunk men at the entrance. I can't believe the city of Perth hasn't closed this establishment. They mislead the public and should update their website. Not worth staying here, and I suggest not booking.
