The location and beach views from the deck and living area are lovely, and the spacious bedrooms have good storage. There’s a great range of utensils too. It seems set up for summer, though the missing louvre in the living area lets in a cold draught in winter. There are quite a few maintenance issues. The doors take a lot of jiggling to unlock, and there’s only one way out. With smoke detectors missing in the kitchen and living area, those could be serious hazards in a fire. Other things need attention as well: dust under the beds and elsewhere, only one sink plug-strainer in the kitchen, poor kitchen lighting and no light in the exhaust hood. The main bathroom shower head needs descaling and cleaning, and the upstairs towel rail is loose. With a little TLC, we’d recommend it.

The views were lovely in the mornings and evenings, and the location is convenient for young families. We stayed with my in-laws and their children and had a great time. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and looked well cared for, and the kitchen had pretty much everything you’d need. We loved our stay and would happily come back. Thank you Clayton’s 10.

You can walk to cylinder beach, so there’s no need to drive, and there’s usually a sea breeze since there’s no air conditioning. The position and view are great, but the unit feels very tired and overdue for an update. The broken folding door to the balcony was especially disappointing. It’s reasonably stocked, though the oven trays and other things are very old. It would be much better if some money went into maintenance and bringing it up to date.

The verandah and its views are terrific, and the place is comfortable in a great location. A few things need attention: the main bathroom exhaust fan doesn’t work, the lounge suite is quite tired, and the owners’ cupboards in the kitchen and laundry were open when we arrived, though they’re normally locked. The Fox box can’t connect to satellite, which seems like it should be available for the price.

We love staying here for the amazing location and incredible design. Some upkeep would help: the kitchen lighting, bathroom benchtops that are swelling in places, blunt knives, and the living room sofa webbing all need attention. The poorly cut key copies also make locking up difficult.
