Whalewatch Unit 2

The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked really well. The location was excellent, and we enjoyed the pool area. I’d recommend staying here. A few small things in apartment 16 could use attention: there was no hairdryer, the balcony gets full sun with no shade, its light didn’t work, and the front door lock was faulty.

We had a great three night stay in a ground floor room that opened onto a lovely grassy area. The views of the ocean were stunning, and kangaroos came right up in front of our room every day. Cafes and restaurants were an easy walk away. The pool was lovely and well maintained, and Cylinder Beach took about 20 minutes to reach on foot along the path, or five minutes by car. Jacalyn and Therese at the front desk were incredible and went above and beyond to help. We borrowed surfboards and a beach umbrella from the resort, which also provides other beach equipment. The kids had a great time in the games room, and everything at the resort was in excellent condition. My family and I had the best time. A genuine 10 out of 10, and we’d highly recommend Whale Watch Resort for a Straddie stay. We can’t wait to come back!

The staff were so friendly, accommodating and kind, and went above and beyond to make our stay great. The apartments were spacious and had everything we needed in every room. Ours was spotlessly clean, and hiring things like a sun gazebo, chairs and boogie boards was easy and very reasonably priced. There’s also a heated pool, a fun games room and a BBQ area. The beach, shops and nature are all close by, and the beach is only a short walk away. Kangaroos came up onto the lawns and seemed happy enough around us. Do yourself a favour and stay at Whalewatch Ocean Resort when you’re on north Staddie. You won’t regret it.

We had a great visit with our relatives from the UK. Sitting on the apartment balcony, we could chat and watch the ocean without a care. It was a lovely way to show them Straddie. The apartment had everything we needed, and the beach and gorge were a short stroll away.
