Villa Cavour Bed & Breakfast

We made good use of the e-bikes and kayak, taking in the sunrise, cafes and sunsets. If you’re lucky, you might spot turtles and dolphins. Dean also booked us onto a whale watching tour, one of the highlights of our holiday. We had a very relaxing stay at Villa Cavour. The large bedrooms have comfortable beds, and the balcony overlooking the pool is a lovely place to sit. The kitchen, dining and living area is great for spending time together, and we enjoyed making wood fired pizzas in the pizza oven. Dean and Tania are happy to share their knowledge and love of this beautiful part of the world.

Villa Cavour is in a peaceful part of Vernon Point, away from the hustle and bustle, while shops and the hospital are only about 10 minutes away. The ocean and walking paths are less than a minute on foot. My friend and I stayed for three nights and found the house spacious, practical and well designed. The communal kitchen is extremely well equipped, so cooking was easy. The top floor has a lovely view, and the ocean breeze kept the room comfortable enough that air conditioning was almost unnecessary, even in the hot Queensland summer. Dean made us feel welcome from the start. I recommend it for a relaxing, rejuvenating stay.

Dean and Tania are the new owners, and the villa is clean and beautiful, with a great pool. They have no pets. My family enjoyed staying here too, and the ladies on my retreat had a lovely time. I ran my first four day retreat here and couldn’t have asked for a better venue. It worked well for a small group and would also be a perfect place for a family stay. The hosts were amazing and welcoming, and made sure the guests had all the amenities they needed. It’s close to the beach, where we enjoyed daily walks and watching the sunrise and sunsets. The pool and its setting are a nice place to unwind. Make sure you talk to Dean about local outings and tours. All in all, a beautiful place run by amazing human beings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I look forward to returning to Villa Cavour.

Dean’s local knowledge of eateries and places to see was fantastic. He also gave us whale watching cruise options, and the one we picked was amazing. We highly recommend Villa Cavour for either a sneaky weekend away in Hervey Bay or a longer, relaxing break. Dean, the bed and breakfast host, is an absolute gentleman and made us feel comfortable and welcome. The accommodation was clean and functional, and the beds were super comfortable.
