Club Wyndham Pokolbin Hill

I don't understand all the 5 star posts. We stayed two nights, and this place was mediocre at best. The basics need attention. During bushfire season, leaves had built up on every villa roof and the gutters were full. There was no internet, and the basic wifi had apparently been down for a week with nothing done about it. There wasn't even coffee in the rooms. A pod machine costs about $80, and seems a very basic thing for accommodation marketed as up scale. The cafe was disappointing too. I appreciate people trying to run a business, but the coffee was overpriced and poor. Listening to a $6 coffee being made sounded like someone was learning the machine by trial and error, and they charged $2 for a little honey in a long black. For a place in the Hunter marketed as a fine resort, paper plates with cut up muffins aren't an acceptable “buffet”. The people were nice, but the place came across like a little ma and pa operation in the middle of nowhere. We ate breakfast at peppers down the road both mornings. It was profoundly cheaper and a wonderful experience. Please stop with the 5 stars 😂
