We arrived on the afternoon of our stay to find the property dead bolted, and the key we had been left wouldn't open the lock. We were in the wedding party and had booked months ahead, so this caused a lot of trouble and stress for everyone. Weekenda.com.au contacted the owner, but they had left the Hunter Valley and refused to help. They wouldn't even consider sending a locksmith to open the deadbolt. We were fortunate to find alternate accommodation at the last minute, but it was very expensive and nowhere near convenient for the wedding. I wouldn't risk staying here.

We've stayed twice now and recommended the place to friends, who loved it too. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot where kangaroos come right up to the house. You can relax there or head out for tastings, with wineries all around and town just a short drive away.
