The location was handy, with a bakery, coffee shop and pubs within walking distance. Parking was easy, and the room had a fridge, microwave, lots of cooking utensils and good air-conditioning. The shower was big, hot and clean, the beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and linen. A few things made the stay difficult. We were upstairs with no lift, which was a problem due to mobility issues, and luggage had a long way to go from the only access at the front. The emergency exits weren't very clear. Being on the main street also meant hearing drunk people walking past. There were large bugs, some dead and some alive, and crumbs all through the fold-out bed. Tea and coffee needed restocking. The kitchen water was set far too hot and I burnt myself. The mirror and closet hanging space were too high for me to use, and the fire blanket couldn't be reached either, which would've been a major issue if there'd been a fire. The TV didn't have the main channels like 7, 9 and 10.

Check-in involved lots of emails and SMS, and parking was secure. The recently renovated room was roomy, with a great shower, cold aircon, a comfy bed and a pod machine. Good central location. No complaints from me.

Booked this beautiful apartment at the last minute. It was easy to get in using the instructions sent to my mobile, even though there's no reception. I slept really well.

It was my first stay. Not having any check-in or reception felt a bit odd, though it does make things easier. The place is cool, but there were black marks on the sheets and black hairs in the shower. Mobile reception in my room was very limited.

The room was very clean, and they've done a great job renovating this very old building. My company arranged the booking, and although I hadn't booked it myself, the communication was excellent. I got into the carpark, building and room without any trouble. If I need to stay in Port Augusta again, this is where I'll be coming. When the company told me where I'd be staying, I was concerned because I'd had a very bad experience with the Comfort Inn at Port Augusta. I'll review that next. The woman from the company said this place looked fancy and that the lady she'd spoken to was very nice. I replied, "the lady eas very nice, definitely not the place I stayed at before".
