The owner was so kind when we arrived late, with every shop already closed. She gave us food, coffee, and hot chocolate at no charge. The motel itself is excellent too, with roomy rooms, good-quality amenities, and great housekeeping. It’s close to the fuel station, beach, supermarket, and information centre.

The bedding was so good, and I loved all the little details that made the room feel like home. It was clean, cosy, and had plenty of space, including a balcony. The beach wasn’t the closest one in town, but I still think this was the best place there. The owners were friendly and helpful, and this was the best stay of our holiday.

I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the other reviews, but I was really impressed. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. It smelled fresh and clean, too. Our host was lovely and helpful with recommendations. When we asked for extra beach towels, she surprised us with a beach mat for free as well.

After car trouble left us needing somewhere at the last minute, Julie and Des found room for us at the Portside. They helped us figure out transport and gave us room to sort through some complicated logistics. We felt welcome, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean and tidy, with all of Port Campbell’s local amenities just a short walk away. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The bed was huge and really comfortable, and the pillows and cushions felt luxurious. The owners are lovely, too. If you do laundry, you might meet their golden lab Skip, who’s very sweet and loves a belly rub. A great place to stay.
