A Tropical Nite

There were six of us, and we found Tropical Nite immaculate, spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The apartment had all the household equipment we needed, plus a little terrace where we could eat breakfast overlooking the tropical garden. The outdoor spaces are arranged to give residents privacy, and there's a lovely pool and barbecue area. We had parking for the car, which is necessary for getting to central Port Douglas and taking a walk on Four Mile Beach. My stay was excellent.

Tropical Nites made a great base for seeing the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. The beach is nearby, and town is an easy walk away. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed to feel at home. Mel and Andy were a big help both before and during the trip. They arranged airport transfers and shared local suggestions for restaurants, trips and more. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We spent 9 days at Tropical Nites, and it worked really well for our family with a toddler. The apartment was clean and well equipped, while the pool and bbq area were just right for us. It's a great location, only a short walk into town. Mel and Andy were incredibly helpful. A wonderful place for families with children.

The garden has a barbecue and a communal table that seats 8-10 people, and there's a small pool that's more suited to children or a quick dip than swimming. The property has lovely vegetation. The apartments are duplexes, with a kitchenette and pleasant living room. Downstairs there's a bedroom and WC; upstairs are two bedrooms, another WC, and a washing machine and dryer. It's not luxurious, but it does the job. The city centre is quite near, though going by car is better. Port Douglas has some really good restaurants and a beautiful, long beach, Four Mile Beach. It's a very beautiful and well arranged place, though at times it feels a little unrefined and could be more sophisticated. Still, it's definitely worth a stay.
