Ocean Palms Apartments

We've returned to Ocean Palm Apartments several times on our visits to Port Douglas. It's an adults only complex in a beautiful old Queenslander style building, with an internal atrium and only 22 apartments. The location, one street back from Macrossan Street, is ideal. It's an easy walk to Coles, though with so many fantastic restaurants close by, we're usually tempted to eat out instead of using the self catering setup. The apartments are clean and beautifully appointed, and the pool is a reasonable size. It's rarely busy, given the small number of apartments. Laundry facilities are available, check in is easy by text message and code, and the keypad entry means there's no key to worry about. The managers are easy to reach and very responsive if anything comes up. I'd highly recommend it over the bigger complexes.

A lovely adults only place, clean and modern, with one bedroom apartments and a great kitchen area. We had an upstairs unit with a large balcony where we enjoyed afternoon sun and lovely sunsets. The palm filled internal atrium adds to the appeal. It's a small, intimate complex of just 22 apartments, so it feels quieter and less crowded than the larger places. Being one street back from Macrossan Street keeps it a bit more peaceful, while restaurants, 4 mile beach and the marina are only a few minutes' walk away. Easy to get to, easy to check in, and easy to relax.

Bec was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the location, just a five minute walk to the beach, Macrossan Street and the marina. The apartment was clean and tidy, the kitchenette had enough for us to make meals instead of eating out every night, and the on site laundry was handy. Since the accommodation is set up for couples and solo travellers, it seems a good way to avoid school holiday traffic. Highly recommend Ocean Palms.

Bec, thanks so much for making our 17 night stay so comfortable. Your eye for detail and care in making sure we had a great visit were much appreciated. You're an incredible host. The apartments are spacious and have all the amenities you need, in a peaceful spot with everything a short walk away. We loved relaxing by the pool, which was cool and refreshing. Our group of friends stayed over Easter and it was perfect for us. It felt like a home away from home, and we'd love to return.
