The pool was my favourite part of our stay. It was the perfect temperature, and the area had a great covered space, plenty of chairs and sun lounges, and fully stocked BBQ supplies. The manager was friendly and more than willing to help. We had a WONDERFUL stay at Marina Terraces Port Douglas. Check in was easy, with an email a few days before arrival and a text on the day explaining what to do since we were arriving after hours. We stayed in Room #6. The building itself was older, but the partially renovated room had new appliances, and you could see the owners were trying to keep it as new and up to date as possible. We loved the size of the 2 bedroom unit and couldn’t believe how clean it was. Honestly, I’ve never stayed anywhere so clean. It’s so close to the main street that we barely used our hire car. That balcony fan made it easy to sit outside without overheating, and we even finished the lovely puzzle they’d left for us. My sister and I had a girls’ weekend in Apartment 10 at Marina Terraces and were really happy with it. The place was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed. The pool was warm, spacious, and great for unwinding, while the beach and town were both just a short walk away. We’d happily come back.

I’ve visited Pt Douglas several times, and this has been my favourite place to stay. The apartment was modern, lovely, and clean, with all the facilities we needed. Macrossan St is about a two-minute stroll away, and the beach takes around five minutes on foot. I’ll definitely stay again.

The pool and outdoor areas were beautiful, and restaurants and the beach were easy to reach on foot. This was my third stay, and this time friends joined us in two other apartments. We all had a great time, with everything we needed for a holiday provided. Michelle and Greg were such friendly, welcoming hosts. Thanks to you both, we’ll definitely be back.

We got an unrenovated room, unfortunately, and it was dirty and very worn. The showers had mould, and the photos of dust and grime on the bedroom’s slatted sliding doors speak for themselves. The location is great and the pool is nice, but the rooms vary, with some renovated and others not. The property manager seems extremely sensitive to criticism, as you can see in the essay on another review. After I posted mine, they called and had what I can only describe as a meltdown or tantrum. If you’re thinking of booking, ask to see photos of your room first.
